This coffee maker lasted barely 6 months! Just wouldn't brew one morning. You get what you pay for. Slow brewing time, wet & messy, carafe leaked. No notification when brewing was done or prior to auto shut off. Really no surprise that it only lasted a few months. :(

I can't believe Gordon Ramsay would endorse this product! He is supposed to be a perfectionist but this machine is as far from perfect as you can get. I've been making coffee for over 40 years and have had maybe a half dozen different pots in that time span but never one I took back to the store. Even if I don't get my money back I am going to try to return this. It has at least two steps to start any kind of coffee - we had company over and had to teach them how to use it. The coffee didn't taste good even though we tried three different kinds of coffee - preground and grind your own of two of them. We also tried the basket it came with and paper filters. Today I tried to make 8 cups and the filter filled up too much and put grounds into the pot and into the reservoir. Another problem I had each time I used it was that I couldn't 'rob' the pot until it was all done or it would leak onto the heating plate. I also almost burned myself by opening the lid ahead of time (to check why grounds were going into the pot). Do not buy this coffee maker!

This was the most problematic coffeemaker we've had, and the shortest time to failing. The pot leaks while pouring unless you hold the lid open. Now there is some leak in the top of the maker. Recently the coffeemaker will run and gurgle with few drips going into the pot. I've cleaned it and taken it apart a few times. It seems the swivel under the lid has melted and curled and seems to be leaking from there. For someone that is not using it daily, it will probably last longer but we depend on coffee and to hear this gurgling with no coffee coming out is disappointing. In all fairness, coffee makers are all made in a similar way, so if you get one at the bottom of the price range, you will get a cheap coffee maker, no matter who makes it.
