There is something fundamentally wrong with the manufacturing of this coffee machine.Basically, it appears that the hot water somehow breaks down the plastic, which you will taste in your coffee--and even should be able to smell it.An added bonus comes when you check the water reservoir after a few uses; black sooty substance will be coating the bottom.Kinda like a burnt plastic.Do not purchase this poor excuse for a coffee maker.

Was hoping this coffee maker would prove the other reviews wrong, but it lived up to its billing. It did not keep the coffee warm and without any features is little more than a slightly warm hot plate. Had to return for different option.

This coffee maker brews a good cup of coffee but it will NOT keep it hot, only luke warm. I didn't have a chance to use it until after the amazon window expired so in the trash it will go.
